Aaron & Sarah (Wedding)

This is just a little sneak peek from Sarah & Aaron's Saturday wedding.

A (Senior)

I met with A and her Mom on a sunny, chilly last Friday.  I had a great time with these lovely ladies!  Below you'll find a few of my favorites.

Snickerdoodle Stew

Here are a few Snickerdoodle Stew non-Christmas skirts, dresses and headbands.  The cool thing about these dresses and skirts?  They're short and short sleeved, but if you layer them up the kiddo's can wear them for more than one season. This session was the beginning of December.

Click the images to see them in their original size.

Snickerdoodle Stew Christmas Edition

I'm all about supporting local businesses and helping them grow so I was thrilled to do a session with Snickerdoodle Stew of Southern Indiana.  You can see more of Snickerdoodle Stew on Facebook, Twitter and the blog.  Please go and "like" her Facebook and follow her on Twitter and the blog. Snickerdoodle Stew is the next big thing so be sure to check it out by one of the four ways below.

Below are Christmas dresses only.  The next entry will include non-Christmas skirts and dresses.

I've never seen a headband like this!

So wish I had a little girl so I could get the dress and matching headband!

Keep an eye out for the next blog entry.  It will showcase just a few non Christmas Snickerdoodle Stew dresses.

M

I met with M and her Mom while I was in Missouri over Thanksgiving weekend.  I styled this session.  I decided outside of scarves and hats that I did not want any props.  I saw a specific vision that I wanted and no props were involved.  The location of the session wasn't decided until the day before the session.  I wanted something but was having a hard time finding it.  We ended up trespassing at a special place and I wouldn't have had it any other way....well maybe the fence.  The fence was a little tall for me to scale comfortably in a long skirt haha!  Below are my favorites from the session.
Something I want to mention first.  When her Mom and I were planning the session she kept mentioning how sport and tomboyish M was.  I think she showed a different side than any of her family expected to see.  Love it!

J - 1940's airman

The same day as B's session I decided to do a mini with J.  This session was originally planned for another cutie but as hard as his Mom and I tried we couldn't find the appropriate clothing for his size.  I loved the idea and found clothes in J's size so I went with it.  The original idea had more props but I loved how this turned out.  Excuse the quality and know the actual image looks better.  The blog isn't doing so hot on quality today.

B

B is my stepson.  He just turned 10 and I can't believe how much he's grown and changed in the past five years since I've been in his life.  He's such a sweet, smart boy.  This was a little mini session in a portion of our back yard.  Benjamin wasn't going to be able to make it to Missouri when we went to visit with my family over Thanksgiving.  While in Missouri a session was planned with my parents and their grandbabies for their Christmas card.  We didn't want B left out so I did a session with him before going to Missouri.  We planned all the outfits out before hand so B would match them.
My favorite :) It is now a 16x20 on my living room wall.

I had a few other images to add but the blog is totally killing the quality of my uploads today.

A&A Sisters

I have several all time favorite images from all my sessions from the past almost three years.  They're burned in my memory in extreme detail.  Sometimes I know why they're my favorite and sometimes I don't.  This last image at the moment is my all time favorite of all time favorites.  I can't put my finger on the exact reason but I have a few I can name.
*I love the closeness between the sisters.  It makes me think of me and my Sister.  We weren't close until we got a little older but still yet it reminds me of us.
*I love the colors, texture and place.  For once in my life I love that things don't match perfectly.  I think it adds a different dynamic.  It doesn't match perfectly but it's pulled together nonetheless.  Someday when I have a studio this will be a massive canvas on the wall.
