B

B is my stepson.  He just turned 10 and I can't believe how much he's grown and changed in the past five years since I've been in his life.  He's such a sweet, smart boy.  This was a little mini session in a portion of our back yard.  Benjamin wasn't going to be able to make it to Missouri when we went to visit with my family over Thanksgiving.  While in Missouri a session was planned with my parents and their grandbabies for their Christmas card.  We didn't want B left out so I did a session with him before going to Missouri.  We planned all the outfits out before hand so B would match them.
My favorite :) It is now a 16x20 on my living room wall.

I had a few other images to add but the blog is totally killing the quality of my uploads today.

A&A Sisters

I have several all time favorite images from all my sessions from the past almost three years.  They're burned in my memory in extreme detail.  Sometimes I know why they're my favorite and sometimes I don't.  This last image at the moment is my all time favorite of all time favorites.  I can't put my finger on the exact reason but I have a few I can name.
*I love the closeness between the sisters.  It makes me think of me and my Sister.  We weren't close until we got a little older but still yet it reminds me of us.
*I love the colors, texture and place.  For once in my life I love that things don't match perfectly.  I think it adds a different dynamic.  It doesn't match perfectly but it's pulled together nonetheless.  Someday when I have a studio this will be a massive canvas on the wall.

A&A Pt 2

A&A Pt 1

I met with A and her sister A on a chily, windy Saturday at the end of November.  Their session was the first for a new location I found.  It's so funny, I've crossed this location dozens of times and never noticed it.  So glad I finally noticed it because this place is awesome!  This session was styled by myself which means I picked out the clothing.  From start to finish this was 100% a Foxtree session.  I always love sessions I can plan from start to finish.  It really lets me go creatively, allowing me to do my very best work.  I decided to go without pros for this session outside of one hat.  I love using props but I wanted to lean more on the location and the naturalness of it all.  I love how it turned out :)  Below are a few of my favorites.

Middleton Family

I met with Shane, Shawna and their kids on a Saturday afternoon at the beginning of November for their Christmas session.  It was a beautiful afternoon!  Shane is my husband's brother and Shawna was a friend of mine before she became my Sister in Law.  Something different about this family is that they're a blended family.  Not only are they a blended family but four of the five children are very close in age.  I had never done a session with five children, with four being so close in age.  I wanted the family to gel together perfectly.  I think I succeeded.  If I were to change one thing I would've wished for more pretty leaves.  We had a few bad storms a few days before and we lost probably 95% of all the leaves.  Ahh such is life!  Regardless of the amount of leaves the session was a great one!  Here are a few of my favorites.

Per request, a silly family picture :)

While we were..

As in all things there are people who can ruin the good name.  I believe a lot of times Christians in a way ruin the good name of Christ.  In general we judge, don't except and don't love without expectations.  Something just got revealed to me and I have to share.  In Romans 5:8 it says, "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.  Did Christ die for us because He saw what we would become?  No, he died for the worst sin, in the exact moment we were sinning.  He loved us so much, in even our worst moments that He died for us.  That is so amazing to me!  A lot of times I turn judgements on myself, thinking my attitude, deeds, thoughts or actions were too much for him to love me.  I won't allow myself to be forgiven because I'm holding judgements against myself in my hand.  I don't allow God to take it and put it behind His back in the Sea of Forgetfulness.  I just want everyone to know that it doesn't matter what you have or are doing that God loved you enough in that exact moment that He gave His life for you.  Also keep in mind, that God did the same for everyone else.  Don't judge, love!
God Bless!

As faithful followers may have noticed, I've fallen off the blogging bandwagon.  I've been busy editing and didn't want to throw myself off track by blogging.  I hope to be caught up sometime this week.  What you have to look forward to.
